Inspiration and the cusp of the crazies..

October 31st, 2007 by drakkar

So, after being introduced to probably one of the most compelling audio masterpieces I’ve ever heard in my life I was inspired to write a similar rendition to the classic megaman story with my own twists. The unfortunate thing is, after writing a page and a half I had to pass out last night, as tomorrow is the first National Novel Writing Month day and I’ve gotta get blazing on that instead. A side note: The Protomen are absolutely brilliant, if you like megaman and you like music CHECK THEM OUT.

A rather busy day

Hmm, I guess I’ll start with a bit of an explanation before i go off into detail on something no one’ll have a clue about. I’ve been working on a tabletop rpg system in the Shadowrun universe loosely based on d20. (The system that dungeons and dragons is currently using)
And basically I’ve started work on the little nuances like a realistic vehicle and health system, the thing is though I’m a bit dry on ideas when it comes to vehicular stunts. I’ve started digging through my DVDs for awesome car stunts and things. If anyone has any ideas feel free to slip em my way, other than
that though more work on that story I linked previously as well as preparing for National Novel Writing Month, thusly it’s been the busiest day I’ve had all year.

And so it begins..

Well, to start off I’m Joe, another one of those wacky members of Team Mana Sword, though skilled in a few fields, I’m fairly lackluster in others despite my enjoyment of them. I’m an avid writer, spending hours consumed by my struggle with finishing a novel good enough to submit to a publisher and often thinking of the relationship novels and games have. Which I guess would be an interesting one, you’d assume people who play RPGs love reading, though apparently not (Mass Effect notwithstanding).
Regardless of my musings on the subject, I’ve still endevoured myself
to prove myself wrong in that aspect, attempting to put together a novel
that not only provides a compelling narrative, but can be enjoyed by gamers as well, and on that note I’d like to share a bit of the novel I’ve been writing and obviously I’m just begging for critical comments especially constructive ones, so here it is:
